C. L. Stone is a young adult author born in 1980 in the U.S. She started writing at the age of 16 with poetry. She moved on to journalism and started working for a newspaper in a small town. She also started writing many articles for websites and magazines. It was later that she began writing books. She is the author of both The Ghost Bird Series and The Scarab Beetle Series.
