The Yearbook is based on data from over 40 international and national sources. It is a compilation of currently available international statistics for all countries of the world. This edition has 85 tables covering economic and social issues. Among the topics included are statistics on: population, intellectual property, balance of payments and national accounts environment and education. Statistical sources are documented in technical notes to each chapter. The text is in English and French. It is also available on CD-ROM.
