What Our Students Think
If you weren't won over just based on all of our Facebook friends then check out some actual words from students who've worked with us:
Better World Books first contacted Texas A&M's CKI club in the spring of 2003. The club was in the process of looking for a major service project which would promote the organization throughout campus. BWB gave us the chance to take on a major service project which has helped our club gain recognition across campus while supporting a great cause! We were extremely successful from the beginning, collecting over 6000 books our first semester, thanks to the excellent support and guidance provided to us by your staff.
-- Eric Avila, Circle K International; Texas A&M
Better World Books is not only giving thousands of children from Nigeria to Nepal an invaluable gift of literacy, it is also giving them an opportunity that would otherwise be impossible...that of liberating themselves from the fetters of poverty.
-- Louisa Tangula, Books For Africa Student Organization; James Madison University
Working with Better World Books not only allowed the International Students Association at North Georgia College and State University aid Books For Africa, but we also received a stipend for our work. The overall project and correspondance with the Better World Books Regional Director was quick and efficient. This book drive was such a worthy endeavor, we plan on repeating it every semester!
-- Yvonne Noggle
Being a campus rep for Better World Books has been one of the defining moments of my college experience. Engineering a charitable book drive on campus gave me extremely valuable experience leading a team of people and getting involved in my school's community. I learned skills that could not be taught in a classroom. Our team at Emory was able to collect over 5,000 books this past semester and the amount of support we received from students, faculty, and staff was overwhelming; the positive reaction on campus was truly inspiring.
-- Zachary Adler, Emory University
Running with Better World Books is a no-brainer; you can raise money and help enlighten the masses in your own small way.
-- James Hooper, Santa Clara University
Better World Books is an awesome organization to work with! With our unwanted textbooks, which probably would have ended up in the recycle bin, they have been able to help so many people in their mission for literacy. I am extremely honored to work with this organization.
