BWB REMEMBERS THE BOOKS OF OUR CHILDHOOD (3 OF 3)
The third and final part in our Children’s Book Week series on the books that BWB employees remember from their childhood. Don’t forget...
ATLANTA,GA (June 9, 2011) - For the second year in a row, Internet Retailer magazine has named Better World Books among its 2011 list of the web’s Top 500 eRetailers. The socially conscious for-profit Better World Books jumped ahead 32 slots this year, recognized for its online retail excellence selling books to raise money for literacy causes and protect the environment. In the Books/Music/Video category, the company moved up two spots to become #17.
Internet Retailer's definitive ranking and analysis of America's 500 largest e-retailers is based on annual 2010 Internet sales, researched by Internet Retailer and confirmed by retailers. This report includes company financial, operational and performance data, as well as vendors in key categories.
“Our repeated recognition as a top e-tailer proves that businesses can successfully grow while making a real impact for both social and environmental causes,” said Better World Books CEO David Murphy. “We’re excited to continue climbing the Internet Retailer ranking year after year as our momentum propels us to even greater growth.”
A portion of every Better World Books purchase goes toward funding global literacy through the company’s five primary non-profit literacy partners (the National Center for Family Literacy, Books for Africa, Room to Read, Worldfund and Invisible Children), as well as nearly 100 other non-profit organizations.
Customers can order new and used books from Better World Books on the company’s site, BetterWorldBooks.com, or via 24 other online marketplaces.
