Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights of Third Parties
Better World Books takes infringements of the intellectual property rights of third parties very seriously. It is BWB's policy to expeditiously remove, or disable access to, any material contained on or submitted to BetterWorldBooks.com that we are notified of, and believe in good faith, infringes a copyright or other intellectual property right of a third party, in full compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Procedure for Reporting Intellectual Property Infringements under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act:
If you are the owner of an intellectual property right that you believe is being infringed by material on BetterWorldBooks.com, please submit a formal Notice of Copyright Infringement containing the following information:
  • The original or electronic signature of the companioning party.
  • A copy of the protected work (whether by trademark, copyright or otherwise) that is being infringed, or sufficient information to identify the protected work.
  • A copy of the infringing materials and their location on BetterWorldBooks.com, including any reference or link to the infringing materials.
  • A statement by the owner that it has a good faith belief that there is no legal basis for the use of the materials complained of.
  • A statement by the complaining party of the accuracy of the notice and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on the behalf of the owner.
