    I'll admit it. I was slightly dissapointed. I would have loved to give it 5 stars (can't give any less than four, seeing as it's Percy Jackson), but it lacked... something new. That's what I loved so much about the other books - they would amaze me with some new humorous twist on Greek mythology, and yet there was nothing in this one. (Albeit the Styx incident, of which I'll say nothing more, so fear no spoilers.) It was all so.... EXPECTED. In the very early action scenes, I felt as though Riordan was "telling" them all - bland action described by a monotone narrator. And some parts of the book were so completely out of the blue. (i.e. what happens to Rachel. WHAT?!) I suppose that, since this book is recommended ages 9-12, I'm demanding a lot more from an author who writes to simply hook readers in through the action and "happily-ever-after" storyline. But, honestly, some scenes and characters (Silena, Luke, Beckendorf)are so absolutely predictable and bland that they just call for a general scream of, "Well, DUH!"

    There had been so much mounting and anticipation towards this book, that I could not but help feel a sense of definite anticlimax. And what was up with Luke's and Nico's mothers, anyway? Riordan was doing a little "Harry Potter" dive into memories, here. All in all, I'm rather sad that this Percy Jackson failed to astound me as much as the rest had.

    On the good side.... this is only the end of the first Camp Half-Blood series! More demigods are to come! (The ending makes it quite clear. As do Riordan's acknowledgements.) I very much hope that it will be Percy Jackson again, and that Riordan will redeem himself in the new series soon!

    This book is the extremily satisfying final book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympian sereis. A few points could have used a dash more explanation, but everything else I thought was absolutly great.
    Riordan has filled this story to the brim with excitment, humor and danger.
    Familiar characters return, and a few new ones are introduced. Rachel Elizabeth Dare, a mortal child who aided the half-bloods in the last book, The Battle of the Labyrinth, has a huge and important role to play.
    Annabeth finally realizes that Luke isn't Luke anymore, but the deadly titain Kronos, and Percy finally gets to visit Posiden's underwater palace.
    This book was wonderful, filled with everything a fantasy lover wants!
    Romance, danger, mystery....Rick Riordan has succesfully written another great book.

    I am even more excited for this book than I was for HP 7. I totally love this series because I love Greek mythology. Anyways, this book will be amazing. I really hope we find out about Nico's past. I hope that Annabeth will realize that Luke is scum. I'm hoping for some good Percabeth moments or else I sue. More of the Olympians, particularly Athena, Apollo and Artemis, would be appreciated.

    O.M.G. O.M.G. OMG!!!! OOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGG!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 *screams* GAAGGHGH!!!! I'M SPEECHLESS AND WRITING IN ALL CAPS LOCK!!!! THAT'S HOW UTTERLY ASTONISHINGLY AMAZING THIS BOOK WAS!!!! GAAAH I CAN'T GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!! 0.0 0.0 0.0

    The whole thing was SOOOO exciting and thrilling and intense, omg! And it was full of SO many surprising twists!!! Silena Bearegard was the LAST person I would have guessed to be the spy!!! And I didn't think that the way Kronos would die would by LUKE killing him!!! And I had no idea that Percy's big decision that would either save or destroy the gods would be simply handing Luke the knife to kill himself!!!!! 0.0

    OMG, I could not put this book down ONCE. Literally. I read it in one day, in which I read it even when I ate and went to the bathroom (okay, maybe you didn't need to know that, but who cares).

    I loved all the plot twists, especially how Rachel became the Oracle. And it was so cool, how many things were revealed from the past; the way Percy kept getting dreams showing Annabeth's and Thalia's and Luke's early lives, along with the whole thing with Luke's mom. I loved all that!!

    It was a PERFECT ending to the series. :D I love how it's happy, but not totally cheesy, and there's still a mystery to it. :D And I'm SOOO glad that Percy and Annabeth FINNALLY got together!! I've been waiting for this for SOO long!!! :D

    The Last Olympian is DEFINITELY the best book in the whole series, and this series is definitely now up in my top favorite ones!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    There were only a few things that made me really confused. 1: I don't understand why Hestia is considered to be "the last olympian." And why was the book called that? Hestia wasn't even a big part of the book! And I don't understand why Rachel went to Hestia before she became the Oracle and Hestia was like "you have to go back to your hearth." And Rachel was like "I understand." What?? I was soooo confused then ...

    2: I think Luke changed heart much too quickly. It seemed like one second he was all evil and then the next second, he was killing himself and being all nice to Annabeth. And, that thing at the end where Luke is like "You killed me, but you still knew ... " I don't get that. What did Annabeth know? And I thought it was weird when Luke asked Annabeth "Did you love me?" and she's like "You were like a brother. But I didn't love me." Okay, what way does Luke mean, and if Annabeth felt like he was her brother, then why didn't she love him like a brother? And then why did she have a crush on him? Argh.

    3: Why did Silena continue being a spy for Kronos and helping him AFTER she killed Beckendorf and was all remorseful and grieving about it? You'd think that she would stop after that, but noooooo!!! >.<

    Oh well. The book was still SOOO AMAZING!!! XD

    What's really cool is, it might not be the last book about Camp Half-blood! Because at the back of this book, in the acknowledgments, Rick Riordan wrote: "As the FIRST Camp Half-Blood series draws to a close ... " OMG! Is he hinting that he's going to write more? I really hope so! :D

    Yay! I still can't get over how good this book was!! XD XD XD
