  • Rating Good for travelling  Aug 26, 2008 (5 of 5 found this helpful)

Fits perfectly well in the backpocket. Good for jutting down itinerary, random thoughts, comments on place, reminders, even good quotes from a book or movie. Best also to paste small tickets, pics, clippings as well to remember the travels/days/places by.

Gives sense of accomplishment when youve filled-up the entire notebook.

Negative: not for signpen. writing will show on the opposite page. Expensive, a bit of price reduction can help.

[AMAZON should remove the "imitation leather" comment. "Moleskine" hard or softcover tag is enough.)

  • Rating Can't live without it...  Nov 12, 2008 (3 of 3 found this helpful)

I adore this notebook. The quality is so evident in the construction and in the feel. The way that the ink flows on the pages...it's a dream.

The notebook itself has been inspiring.

    Highly recommended. ++

  • Rating Nothing finer.  Oct 23, 2008 (3 of 3 found this helpful)

I'm a moleskine addict. I love the history of this little book. The quality of this journal surpasses all others. I've employed quite a few journals in my past, but this little gem holds up like no other. The binding is sturdy, the cover takes a beating and keeps coming back, and most importantly, the pocket in the back stays put. I usually have at least one, sometimes two, of these journals on my person at all times.

The paper bound into these journals is luxurious, the kind of stuff that your pen longs to caress.

But the best feature is the owner information in the front cover with the statement:
"In case of loss please return to:....
    As a reward: $__________________"

Because you know that the secrets you keep in your moleskine are priceless.

  • Rating Elegant sketchbook  Feb 24, 2009 (2 of 2 found this helpful)

Simply a blank book. Cover is bound in leather (it looks like) is incredibly durable with thick, high quality paper, high quality binding, with a tasteful black elastic band for holding it shut and a somber dark violet marker ribbon attached.

This is perfect for a student, it fits in my pants pocket or a small pocket on my messenger bag perfectly! I have absolutely no doubt that if I don't abuse it, this Moleskine will be in good condition decades from now. These things are built to last.

The only minor issue I have is the marker ribbon tends to fray, it would seem. Not that much of an issue, I'll just run a hot glue gun over the end of the ribbon.

I would strongly recommend buying one if your looking for a place to put your thoughts, although if you journal more seriously then I do (I just like jotting down my thoughts occasionally) you may want to upgrade to the "Large" for ease of writing and to have more sheets. Journaling daily in this thing would be a pain. This is more sized for writing down thoughts as they strike you, not multi-page daily reflections. If you want to do that, get the larger size.

    Again, I LOVE this thing!

  • Rating Great journal for artistic person!!!  Sep 23, 2009 (1 of 1 found this helpful)

Oh, ok, first thing I want to say I am not really that "artistic" person, just try to make something impressive to you!!! :D

This note book is amazing! At first I bought it because I has been in love with its style for a long time (you know, with the curved angles and black leather!) but I didnt know what the name of the notebook is. Then when I found them, bought them, they are so gorgeous!!! Soft leather, smooth papers and elegant style! But after awhile I didnt know how I should use them. I didnt want to even write on them, so I just kept this small one on my pocket and now, I have to bring it everyday I go! The small size is definitely perfect in your pocket but still has the enough size to draw everything! I use it to draw about my days, like journal and when I m totally in love with it, I draw everything, my jewelery ideas, my pictures... everything you know!

I am not that artist can give you some advices but honestly, if you like to draw, or write, you should buy these Moleskine! I dont think you cant stop making notes when you have them.

    Try them, and love them!

Hope you guys will have fun with them! :)
