Chung will fill you in on the best hotel splurges and bargains, where to get the best pierogi and the best gifts to bring home, and even where to have the best Communist-era experiences. Moreover, Baker and Chung tell it like it is in an easy-to-read format using conversational vernacular that is almost like chatting with them over a Zywiec beer and placki (potato pancake) at a café they recommend in the book. The suggested itineraries are helpful for travelers looking to make the most out of their trip or for something out of the ordinary. Some include a five-day focus on Jewish heritage, Poland for families, and a five-day outdoor vacation in Poland.
