About the Book

This survey provides an overview of current economic developments in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and North America. The survey has three parts. Part one looks at recent economic developments and the short-run outlook in the ECE region. Part two focuses on creating a supportive environment for business enterprise and economic growth. It looks at both institutional reform and governance. Part three contains appendix tables showing macroeconomic indicators for the market economies in western and eastern European economies.
